I love students. It’s not a secret. I think students are great. They’re often on a journey of discovering who they get to be for the rest of their lives and I find that really exciting. They’re also a people group who have very little hope. The up-and-coming generation is one which has little hope of being a homeowner any time soon, little hope of enjoying the affluence and convenience that the generations before them enjoyed, and the overwhelming majority of students have no hope in Jesus.
This was my story at University. I was everything you imagine a student being. Loud, messy, and overwhelmingly hopeless. I found my home in a local church, put down some roots, and found my hope in Jesus. I am desperate to see every student have the opportunity to do the same. To find love in community, a home from home, and a hope which transcends the culture we find ourselves in.
