Hey! It's Jael (Yah-ell).

I am originally from Germany and moved to the UK in 2020 to complete my Theology degree. What was meant to be a season of study became something much more, as I sensed God calling me to stay in the UK as a missionary. Along the way, He has grown in me a deep love for both the local church and mission organisations, and a conviction that they are at their best when they work together in God's mission to reach the nations.

After growing up in church, my faith became my own during a gap year with a mission organisation, where I encountered Jesus in a deeper way and discovered a passion for outreach, evangelism and discipleship. Since then, I have loved investing in people, creating spaces for them to encounter God, and helping them grow in confidence in who He has called them to be.

During my time as an Assistant Chaplain in student accommodation, God gave me a real heart for students. University is such a formative season of life. I've had the privilege of walking alongside students as they wrestled with big questions, explored faith for the first time, encountered Jesus, and discovered His love and purpose for their lives. Seeing those moments of transformation has deepened my passion for student mission.

My heart burns for students to not only become believers but ambassadors for Christ, who know Jesus deeply, are rooted in the local church, and are equipped to share their faith with other students on campus or wherever else God places them. That's why I'm so excited to be part of Fusion's vision of seeing students find hope in Jesus and a home in the local church.
