Ryan is from Birmingham and is just about to start his second year at Swansea University studying English Literature. He's an avid Wolverhampton Wanderers fan, loves hot dogs and just spent his summer interrailing across Eastern Europe.
This time last year, I was getting ready to move to Swansea University. Leaving for university is a massive step to take. Everything is new. Making new friends, finding a new place to live and searching for a new church.
I was desperate to find a church as soon as possible. This was where Fusion came in. At Soul Survivor I went to the Student Reception which is a seminar to meet other people going to the same uni location. I found the meeting really beneficial because I realised that I was not alone. There were loads of other Christians like me that were going to university, also searching for a church.
I used Studentlinkup to get linked up with a church in Swansea. Not only was I given details about churches, but I also met people from a Swansea church who happened to be at Soul Survivor the same week! I really got the sense that God already had a church lined up for me before I even moved to Swansea.
I have now been attending that church for nearly a year. I have made loads of new Christian friends and also got baptised!
My faith has matured and grown in strength over this past year and I have become more involved in church life than ever before. My prayers of finding a new church were answered. So thanks to Fusion and thanks to God!
